Without a doubt, TASTE LIFE is such a great cause!
For us, TASTE LIFE and its health campaign is one of the most exciting challenges we ever faced.
To build a network that reaches out for millions of people throughout the whole Middle East, and Northern Africa:
How much more interesting can it get? Walking the path, we create a different future for people with celiac, or gluten intolerance. Many of them are children. They are like fuel in the tank of our hearts.
Gluten Free: A New Dimension of Diet
- There is a social dimension to gluten intolerance that sets sails for re-thinking diet, and the globalisation of nutrition.
The wrong diet obviously caused – except for the genetically induced celiac disease – an unforseen dimension. The right diet is the only known, and reliable, cure so far: getting out of our so common pizza-pasta-bread-fastfood-habits, and reaching out for what right nutrition can do, and be, for us as human beings.
- There is a medical dimension, too: What can we do to promote natural healing, and methods, to ease the suffering of so many with gluten intolerance? This particular health challenge exemplifies like no other condition how diet, and lifestyle, can do so much more than any artificially created pill. The same holds true for diabetes, for heart conditions, and, as scientists suspect, even for cancer.
But gluten intolerance puts major force on all those affected. They need to change their nutrition if they seriously want to feel better – because there is no pill, no equivalent to chemo, or to insuline that relates to celiac, and gluten intolerance.
- And there is a human dimension to it, too: Without the consecrated effort of a whole society, without people willing to sacrifice old habits and rather invent new strategies things won't change.
The gluten free business hits a huge demand. Ironically enough, that business can't work without the background knowledge – and teachings, of how to use the products. Superficiality will ruin the encounter. With a third of the population with Western eating habits being intolerant to gluten new thinking is required.
Particularly those in the service business are called to action: hotels, restaurants, schools & kindergarden, hospitals, cafés, cafeterias, supermarkets, to name only a few. All of them will only make a difference through taking responsibility. And for success to last, there is no backdoor to slip through. Any laissez-faire will cause someone to suffer, immediately. For sure, those who suffer through lack of attention won't come back as customers or guest.
What a challenge, and, at the same time, what an opportunity!
